What color is a tree in your imagination? Maybe it has a twisting purple trunk, a canopy filled with jewel-toned leaves, or branches that seem to dance across the sky.
On August 8, we’ll turn ordinary trees into playful works of art filled with color, movement, and personality. Choose a blank canvas and create freely, or begin with a pre-drawn design. I’ll guide you step by step as you bring your own whimsical tree to life—no painting experience required.

What We’ll Be Learning
We’ll explore how simple lines, shapes, and color choices can transform a familiar tree into something completely original.
You’ll learn how to build an expressive trunk and branches, create a colorful canopy, add depth with layered brushstrokes, and use highlights and details to give your painting personality.
Everyone will work from the same approachable techniques, but your choice of colors, shapes, season, and finishing touches will make your tree uniquely yours.
