Whispers of the Peacock selected for international exhibition at the Montreal Art Center & Museum

MONTICELLO, Ga. — August 10, 2026 — Georgia artist and HawkArt Studio founder Beckie Hawk has been named one of the top 100 finalists in the Global Art League 2026 international art competition.

Hawk’s original oil painting, Whispers of the Peacock, was selected for exhibition at the Montreal Art Center & Museum in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The international showcase will take place from August 29 through September 12, 2026.

“I am honored and delighted to have Whispers of the Peacock selected for this international competition,” Hawk said. “This painting celebrates the mystery, movement, and elegance found in nature. Knowing that it will be exhibited in Montreal alongside the work of artists from around the world makes this an especially meaningful milestone in my artistic journey.”

Whispers of the Peacock is a 30-by-24-inch oil painting inspired by the intricate beauty of a peacock feather. Swirling blues, greens, golds, and touches of orange create a sense of energy and movement. Richly layered brushwork gives the painting depth and rhythm while inviting viewers to discover the quiet stories held within the natural world.

The Global Art League competition brings together artists from around the world and provides an international platform for creative expression and artistic recognition. During the exhibition, a panel of professional art curators will evaluate the 100 finalist works and select three competition winners.

With more than 45 years of experience as a professional artist, Hawk creates expressive, nature-inspired paintings characterized by vibrant color, movement, and texture. Through HawkArt Studio, she also encourages creativity in others by offering workshops, private instruction, community art experiences, Sip & Paint events, and creative gatherings for beginning and experienced artists.
